Constitution (One Hundred and Thirtieth Amendment) Bill Introduced
Home Minister Amit Shah introduced the 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill in Lok Sabha, enabling removal of the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers, or other Ministers if detained for 30 consecutive days on charges punishable with five or more years of imprisonment. The bill has now been referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee.
